Lose Belly Fat

Excess fat is distributed to different parts of your body. You cannot control the distribution of fat in your body, but you can control the accumulation of fat in your body. Here are five simple tips to help you lose belly fat.

1. Kick alcohol, beer and soda out of your life if you want to lose belly fat. Almost all beer drinkers walk around with a pot belly. Soda and beer are high in calories which are converted into belly fat. The best drink is pure water. Water is zero calories and drinking plenty of water helps to prevent dehydration and helps to lose weight. Water increases the metabolism in your body, thereby making your body burn fat faster. Avoid sugary drinks as sugar, raises your blood sugar level which reduces metabolism and fat burning.

2. Know what to eat. Avoid junk food and fast food as these contain a lot of fat. Avoid trans fat or saturated fats, because these can cause fat deposits in the abdomen. They also increase bad cholesterol in your body. Saturated fats come from animal-based foods like milk, butter, cheese, beef, pork, egg yolk etc. Supplement your diet with unsaturated food like olive oil, canola oil, peanuts, avocado which will help you lose the fat.

3. To lose belly fat, you should also follow a regular pattern of exercising. Many people consider exercising a bore. They are willing to diet, but don’t want to exercise. But remember, exercise and diet are inter-related. A slow 30 minutes walk is not enough. You have to do intense exercises, if you want to burn the fat. The best form of exercise is interval training. Interval training is a combination of high intensity and low intensity workouts. This helps to boost your metabolism and burn more fat.

4. If you want to lose belly fat, you should eat lean protein. Protein maintains your sugar level and increases your metabolism. So make sure you include protein in your diet every day.

5. Don’t ever avoid breakfast. Breakfast helps to increase your metabolism and this helps in the more efficient burning of fat. Also avoid heavy food at night. Since there is no activity when you sleep, there is no fat burning.

No matter what you do, just follow these five simple steps to lose belly fat, and you are sure to see positive results and this will improve your chances of achieving your goals.

Chiropractic Adjustment – Tips To Kill Your Fear Of It

If you have been diagnosed with joint disorder and have been referred to a chiropractic therapist your first reaction might be that of fear of pain. Many people will have you believe that the chiropractic therapist is an ogre who will sit on top of you and turn and twist your joints into place under extreme pressure causing you the kind of pain no man woman or child or even animal must be subjected to. The truth is much the contrary of whatever horror stories you will have heard up till now.

Chiropractic Adjustment

What is chiropractic adjustment in the first place? In case you were new to this form of medical therapy, chiropractic adjustment is the process of adjusting joints that have, through a period of time, like years, have gotten displaced from their natural placement in the body. This happens when the joints develop air or gas bubbles between them and need physical pressure and therapy to get them back into position. This therapy usually takes a few sittings before the desired results can be achieved.

The very thought of having someone turn and twist the joint to get it back into place brings to mind images of pain and suffering. However, at the outset you should dispel the fears as there is very little discomfort. People who have undergone chiropractic adjustment procedures and have experienced much pain or discomfort have in all certainty brought it on to themselves.

When a patient enters the chamber for chiropractic adjustment they are ready for the worst. Not knowing that the more they are relaxed the less discomfort they will experience. The patient must learn to relax and trust the professional to do his or her job without having to restrict unwanted movements from the patient. The more the patient tightens his or her muscles or writhes around the more they will experience pain.

Many people are more afraid of the sounds they hear during the chiropractic adjustment process. There is nothing to fear from these sounds as they are not the sounds of your bones cracking or breaking inside. These popping sounds are the sounds of the gas trapped between the joints being released. This is just like cracking your knuckles and producing a loud popping noise. However this popping noise from the knuckles is far more painful than the popping noise produced by a skilled chiropractic practitioner.

Chiropractic adjustment is meant to increase the mobility of the joints and reduce pain so that the patient can lead as normal a life as possible. So, when you enter the chamber for your therapy the first question you must answer yourself is: Is it going to pain you in any way? The answer is a definite no. the amount of discomfort you will experience is entirely up to you. The more relaxed and trusting of the therapist you are the less it is going to hurt. The amount of pain is in your hands!

Foods to Avoid to Lose Belly Fat

One of the toughest goals to achieve when trying to lose weight is to lose belly fat. It is rather easy to lose weight because you can use a variety of brute force methods to force the weight down but the same can’t be said about your belly fat. You may lose a lot of pounds and yet have a pooch belly.

Lose Belly Fat

Work with your body to lose belly fat
This is because the belly is the last bastion of fat storage. This is your emergency fat stores in case of famine. The body is not going to let go of it that easily. Brute force techniques cause your body to panic, thinking that you are facing a famine. Your body will fight tooth and nail to hold on to the belly fat. It is for this reason that you must use smart techniques that work with your rather than causing your body to panic and start holding on to body fat tightly.

Diet plays an important role in losing weight as you eventually become what you eat. The tummy that you carry today is largely due to the food that you ate yesterday. So here are some food that you should avoid to help your efforts in losing belly fat.

Refined carbohydrates
Refined carbohydrates cause insulin spikes in your body. This is because refined carbohydrates release a rush of sugar into the blood stream which requires more than normal insulin. When excess insulin is released into the body, it remains in the body longer and this is where the problems start. Insulin is a potent fat storage hormone. In the presence of excess insulin, your body turns into a fat storage machine rather than a fat burning machine.

Liquid calories
Liquid calories is any type of calories that is available in liquid form. It could be your latte or your soda drinks. When consumed, these drinks provide a flood of energy since liquids do not need much digesting. Liquids get ingested very rapidly. The excess energy gets stored as fat in all areas of the body including the belly.

Processed meat
Processed meat should be avoided as it is displacing higher quality protein that you are probably not eating. When you eat a sausage, you are probably displacing an egg which has more nutritional value. Furthermore, the sausage is a lower quality protein made of various unwanted body parts. These processed meat also have lots of additives which can disrupt the delicate hormonal balance in the body.

Anyone who drinks lots of milk will find it difficult to lose belly fat. Milk spikes insulin as well since it is a form of carbohydrate. Low fat or regular milk cause massive insulin spikes. Regular milk contains high levels of saturated fat. With that in mind, milk is best avoided until you have reached your weight loss goals.

It is best that you abstain from alcohol until you get a toned and flat stomach. Even a single drink of alcohol can completely disrupt fat burning for up to 24 hours. Alcohol also disrupts the hormonal balance in the body. You need to reduce the frequency or completely stop drinking alcohol until you achieve your goals.

Junk or fast food
Junk or fast food displace other healthy food that you might otherwise eat. Because you choose to eat a cookie instead of an apple, you lose the opportunity to benefit from all the nutrients contained in that apple. Junk and fast food usually have a high calorie density. The other challenge is that your body is not very effectively able to measure satiety levels when you eat these calorie dense food. By the time you do get signals that you are full, you would have over eaten.

Processed food
Eat food in its whole form. It is better to eat apple than to drink apple juice or to eat apple pie. All 3 variations contain apple but the more processed the food is, the lesser the nutrition density and the higher the calorie density.

Choose your diet carefully. Make it a habit to remove these unhealthy foods from your life. At the same time you must consume healthy and wholesome food. Do not forget exercise as it is an integral part of losing belly fat.
